Smoke Signals Community Grants 2025

Applications from Community organisations are invited for the Community Grants for 2025.

Smoke Signals is produced and distributed entirely by volunteers and printed at no cost by Michael Ferguson MLA, so all money raised from advertising in the Smoke Signals newsletter is available to fund worthy community projects. Applications are invited from community groups in the 3rd round of grants of up to $1000 for local projects that will benefit a section of the community over a reasonable period of time.

Criteria:

  • The applicant must be a not for profit organisation that works in support of the Dilston, Windermere, Swan Bay or Hillwood communities.
  • The Grant will be a supplement to funds invested in a project by the applicant. A maximum grant of up to $1,000 not exceeding 60% of total costs, will be considered.
  • The Grant will be a maximum of $1,000 and must be expended on physical resources such as a building extension, equipment or tangible resources rather than administrative costs or training.
  • Full details of The Project and how it will benefit a significant section of the community in the future must be supplied together with costings of materials and labour costs.
  • Applications must be made in writing by email to “smokesignals@bigpond.com”

Applications will be acknowledged and successful projects will be notified.

Results will be published in the April edition of “Smoke Signals”

The Smoke Signals Committee decision will be final and no appeals for non-inclusion will be entered into.
